Carola Barbero, HS 2020

Carola Barbero ist ausserordentliche Professorin und Forscherin an der Universität Turin, wo sie am Departement für Philosophie und Erziehungswissenschaften Sprachphilosophie lehrt. Geboren am 14.05.1975 in Turin, schloss sie ein Philosophiestudium an der Universität Turin unter der Leitung von Prof. Maurizio Ferraris mit einer Diplomarbeit namens: Il problema dell’infinito nella fenomenologia di Husserl. Im Jahr 2005 doktorierte sie in Sprachphilosophie an der Universität des Ostpiemont mit der Dissertation On the Existence of Fictional Entities as Higher Order Objects unter der Leitung von Prof. Maurizio Ferraris und Prof. Alberto Voltolini. Seit 2001 beteiligt sie sich an der Lehre und den Seminaren der theoretischen Philosophie von Prof. Maurizio Ferraris und von 2006 bis 2008 unterrichtet sie Sprachphilosophie an der Universität von Modena und Reggio Emilia in Zusammenarbeit mit Prof. Alberto Voltolini. Von 2008 bis 2011 lehrt sie als Professorin für Ästhetik an der Universität der Gastronomischen Wissenschaften in Pollenzo und ist seit 2012 außerordentliche Professorin an der Universität Turin, wo sie bis heute Sprachphilosophie lehrt. Im Herbstsemester 2020 ist sie Gastprofessorin an der Gastprofessur für italienische Literatur un Kultur der ETH Zürich wo sie einen Kurs mit dem Titel I linguaggi della letteratura halten wird. Ihre Kompetenzfelder betreffen Sprachphilosophie, Literaturphilosophie, Ontologie, Metaphysik und Ästhetik. Ihre aktuellen Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen nicht existierende Objekte, die Philosophie der Literatur, meinongianische Theorien, Metaphysik und Ontologie fiktionaler Objekte, Theorien der Emotionen und das Paradoxon der Fiktion. Neben ihrer Lehrtätigkeit nimmt sie häufig als Referentin an nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen über Philosophie teil und ist selbst Organisatorin von Philosophiekongressen an verschiedenen italienischen Universitäten. Sie ist Autorin zahlreicher Bücher und Artikel und beschäftigt sich auch mit der Übersetzung philosophischer Texte ins Italienische.
